I wonder what makes a building fall apart after it's left alone. Such as here; what roughed up the tiles in the foreground, what caused the walls to peel, the beams to fall? I'm sure the beams were weight and time, and I suppose moisture and mold for the walls, but those tiles...something had to disturb them to that degree in that particular area. I find abandoned places to be so full of mystery.
I think the "beams" you're referring to are lights. I would imagine through moisture and extreme heat/cold exposure whatever was holding the fixture would pop out of the beam and the weight would cause it to fall. This would be especially true if there was any drafts or wind in the building. My guess is the tiles are simply from people. Love these abandoned places.
Must be cheaper
