Is it an architectural photography or an abstract photography ? Clearly for me it belongs to the abstract realms by the perfect geometric composition of your picture coming in contrast with the piece of sky. The overall picture is inhuman, it does not belong to the universe we see everyday we need to stop think and pass our normal perception to perceive such universe. The only critique I can find is about the piece of blue sky in the reflections on the left side, this blue is too strong and does not link very well with other pieces of sky. Perhaps waiting for a better sky combination would have been a nice idea.
up. by =schnotte although a most used (like a cliché type of ...) squared use of such a point of view grabbed my attention to the non uniformity of the geometrical pattern.
Its geometry is broken masterly by the careful use of light, reflections and colour.
Viewers attention is unconsciously driven by the composition in a random search of what the image has to offer. Our eyes keep searching and searching for the end of the subliminal Fibonacci spiral omnipresent but non obstructive.
That is the key for what I call the success of squared view shown.
As I said at the beginning this is only my personal opinion.
i had written a story that involved this kind of visual; they were apartment buildings and clothes dangled on the lining, casting light shadows on the square-lit ground below. i didn't think that buildings could be made this way because i never saw one; i had to use my imagination to envision what simply looking up this type of construction looked like, but now i have a picture of it~! and it's fantastic! just like i imagined!
